After much thought and a failed attempt, I have again decided to train for an Ironman Triathlon, which will be in summer 2014. The idea behind this blog is to monitor and track progress based on the hypothesis that it is possible to maintain a moderate level of muscle mass whilst training for such an event. I’ll be posting initial strength and size measurements, as well as diet information and cardio tests.
I’m very aware that this seems a ridiculous and impossible task, but the thought of maintaining a decent level of strength whilst improving endurance would be of interest to a lot of people i imagine. I’m going to be trying several things with diet and training including, and will keep up progress and what I find most successful.
Anyway this blog is mainly a place to note all my findings and progress, maybe it’ll be interesting to even one person!
